Natalia Rosenberg, LMSW

Psychotherapist

Natalia is a psychotherapist working with adults, children, adolescents, and couples. Prior to joining Rose Hill, Natalia worked at a crisis hotline helping survivors of domestic violence. Natalia has recently received certification in grief counseling from Columbia’s Center for Prolonged Grief. Natalia worked as a broadcast journalist and media consultant, so she considers herself a well-trained listener with years of experience helping people tell their stories.

Natalia believes that there can never be a one-size-fits-all approach to humans and that therapy should be exclusively tailored to individual history, needs, and goals. Working psychodynamically, she helps her patients look for the root causes of their challenges, untangle long-standing patterns and ultimately deepen their understanding of their behaviors and urges. In her practice, Natalia puts trust and collaboration first. Natalia views the patient-therapist partnership as a useful crucible to examine and enhance the patient’s other relationships. She is interested in a variety of issues ranging from anxiety and depression to life transitions, relationship conflicts, eating disorders, grief/loss, and trauma.

As a longtime student and teacher of yoga, Natalia is interested in the mind/body connection and often incorporates mindfulness and somatic practices in her work. Natalia is bi-lingual (English/Russian) and has been educated on both continents. Prior to pursuing her Master of Social Work degree at Columbia University, Natalia earned her Diploma of Higher Education (MA equivalent) in Broadcast Journalism from Moscow State University (Moscow, Russia). She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Pennsylvania.
