I believe therapy offers a creative space to explore the roots of our suffering and discover what makes each of us unique. In the busyness of daily life, therapy provides a rare opportunity to reflect on what you want, become curious about yourself, and reconnect with what truly moves you.

You may come to therapy for many reasons—painful emotions, interpersonal challenges, traumatic experiences. Together, we’ll explore your emotions and experiences with compassion and openness. We can also discover together how the therapeutic process can surprise us, offering moments of insight, relief, and even humor that loosen the hold of old narratives and external pressures. This space can help you rekindle creativity and a sense of possibility in your life.

I bring my background as a scholar and teacher of literature to my work with patients. Just as constraints in the creative process can inspire new and unexpected ideas, the therapeutic process can also open us to new pathways for living our lives according to our desire.

My clinical background includes the six-year training cycle in psychoanalysis from the Freudian School of Quebec, and I am a candidate for licensure at Pulsion: The International Institute of Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychosomatics. I have earned a PhD in Comparative Literature as well as an MA in English Literature both from the University at Buffalo.
