Lily Meyersohn
MSW Intern
Lily is a clinical social work graduate trainee pursuing her degree at the Silberman School of Social Work at CUNY-Hunter College. She earned a BA in Health & Human Biology from Brown University and worked as a health and politics journalist before pursuing training to become a psychotherapist. She continues to report and write about mental health in the US. Lily currently works with adults, adolescents, children, and couples at Rose Hill.
Lily has been a hospice and palliative care doula and worked with people experiencing grief, loss, illness, and other life transitions. She is excited to incorporate her background in mindfulness and self-compassion into her psychodynamic psychotherapy practice.
Lily’s approach to psychodynamic psychotherapy attempts to bridge patients’ individual struggles and concerns with the wider social, historical, cultural, and political fabric. She is especially interested in helping patients deepen their relationships with others, find meaning in their everyday experiences, try out new ways of being and relating, and access the feelings of peace, belonging, and safety.
