Julia Beck, LCSW

Psychotherapist

Julia is a psychotherapist and supervisor at Rose Hill Psychological Services, where she provides psychodynamic psychotherapy to adults, teens, and children. Julia holds a Masters degree in Social Work from Columbia University, and a Bachelors degree from the University of Michigan, where she studied Psychology. She has experience working with people from various walks of life in a variety of clinical settings, which has aided in her view that each individual is unique in their own experience.

Julia strives to employ creativity in her therapeutic work, utilizing her background in art to evoke colorful stories, memories, fantasies, and feelings that may otherwise lay dormant. She believes keeping these feelings at bay may increase a sense of anxiety, depression, and other internal struggles that affect how we perceive ourselves and the world. She therefore honors the rich stories that deserve to be uncovered and explored, even if they seem insignificant. By facilitating a space in which the individual feels at ease to express themselves freely, Julia is committed to generating a thread that links the individual, their relationships, and their environment. This thread can unveil pieces of the puzzle that might currently feel out of reach, leading to a greater sense of awareness and harmony.
