Jacob Mazzarella

MSW Intern

Jacob is a clinical social work graduate trainee at Rose Hill Psychological Services, where he provides psychodynamic therapy to adults, teens, pre-teens, and children. Jacob is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Social Work from Smith College and holds Bachelor's degrees from the Paris Institute of Politics (Sciences Po) and Columbia University in Political Science and English. Prior to working at Rose Hill, Jacob provided therapy to adolescents and pre-teens at the Children’s Village, a community-based foster care agency in Harlem.

He has a particular interest in using a relational psychodynamic approach to help people navigate anxiety, major life transitions, and family dynamics. Jacob sees therapy as space for people to investigate their desires and feelings in all their complexity. He seeks to make therapy an exploratory and healing space where you can ask questions without fear of judgment.
