Barron Brocksmith, LMSW

Psychotherapist

Barron Brocksmith is a clinical social worker and graduate of New York University Silver School of Social Work. Prior to pursuing training in psychotherapy, he taught group fitness at SoulCycle, where he cultivated an interest in motivation, mindful awareness, and how we overcome obstacles in order to thrive. This experience led him to pursue psychotherapy as a profession. Barron currently works with adolescents and adults at Rose Hill and welcomes clients of all backgrounds and identities. He has a strong interest in how we navigate relationships of all sorts—professional, romantic, and familial to name a few—and identity issues, particularly coming out as LGBTQ+. Barron obtained a BA in Art History and Medieval and Renaissance Studies from New York University College of Arts and Science.

Barron approaches psychotherapy as a partnership with the goal of self-awareness so that the client can lead a satisfying life according to their goals and values. He sees his role as a facilitator that holds space for clients to bravely address challenges and issues.
