Alexandra Dickinson, LMSW

Alexandra Dickinson is a psychodynamic psychotherapist working with high school and college students, new moms and dads, and professionals who are struggling with depression and anxiety. She is particularly attuned to the mental health challenges that come with major life transitions, and takes care to approach sensitive topics with warmth and support. Alex has past clinical experience supporting students with complex topics like emotional intelligence, perfectionism, and relational conflicts. She also supports adults in areas like grief and loss, self-esteem, and life transitions.
Alex earned her MSW degree from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work, and she has also previously obtained a BS and an MA in Media, Culture and Communication from NYU. Prior to pursuing training in psychotherapy, Alex was a communications professional and negotiation coach. Alex is also a trained yoga teacher, and brings her background in mindfulness and meditation to each session.
